MARIPOSA ACADEMY IS A PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL THAT RECEIVES FUNDING FROM STATE AND FEDERAL RESOURCES. OFTEN, THE FUNDING ALLOCATIONS DIFFER FROM THAT OF OUR SIMILARLY SITUATED PUBLIC SCHOOLS DUE TO RESTRICTIONS/PARAMETERS. MARIPOSA IS OFTEN PLACED IN A POSITION TO RELY ON THE GENEROSITY OF ITS COMMUNITY TO MEET THE NEEDS TO CONTINUE TO FLY AND FLOURISH AS ONLY A BUTTERFLY CAN. WE ARE PROUD TO OFFER HIGH-QUALITY PUBLIC EDUCATION WITH ENRICHMENT RESOURCES, DEDICATED TEACHERS, AND HIGH EXPECTATIONS FOR OUR SCHOOL. YOUR DONATIONS CAN BE MADE IN DIFFERENT WAYS AND WE THANK YOU FOR HELPING US MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN OUR STUDENTS' LIVES.  

If you would like to make a monetary donation and support our school we have 3 options: donate directly to our school, donate directly to our affiliated 501(c)(3) Mariposa Language and Learning Academy or purchase a “Brick to School”.

Direct to School donations are tax-deductible, and you will receive a letter for tax purposes. These donations should be sent directly to Mariposa Academy at 3875 Glen Street, Reno, NV 89502. 

Direct to School donations will support projects including but not limited to:

• Biliteracy Spanish Teacher

• Social-Emotional Learning Support

• Playground upgrades

• Field Trips

• Technology upgrades

Direct donations to our affiliated 501(c)(3) Mariposa Language and Learning Academy  are also tax-deductible. Donations will be allocated as needed to support projects, special events, etc..
