Families, beginning on Monday, April 6th we will be offering box meals for pick up in our school parking lot. Pick up times will be Monday-Friday from 9:00am-11:00am for drive through or walk up. Please come by and get meals for your families!
Familias, a partir del lunes 6 de abril, ofreceremos comidas en caja para recoger en el estacionamiento de nuestra escuela. Los horarios para pasar y recoger los alimentos serán de lunes a viernes de 9:00 a.m. a 11:00 a.m. puede pasar en su vehículo o caminar. ¡Venga y obtenga comidas para sus familias!

Good day families! As you know, earlier in the month the Governor announced closing schools and businesses until April 6, 2020. Today, the closure is extended until April 30, 2020. As you know, we started distance learning this week and will continue with this plan until the April 30 or until we receive further direction. We miss you and your students and will continue to keep in touch by phone, videos, and media. I will keep you updated as we get further information and please stay safe.

Buenas tardes familias, como saben, anoche el gobernador anunció de cerrar negocios por los próximos 30 días. Hemos estado informados que todavía está planeado de poder regresar a la escuela y comenzar clases el 6 de abril 2020. Para la semana de marzo 30-abril 3 estamos formulando un plan de estudio para que los estudiantes completen mientras esten en casa. Este trabajo aplicará para las horas de aprendizaje y para no tener que extender el año escolar en junio. Estaré en comunicación la semana que viene para que los estudiantes reciban las tareas escolares para completar en casa. Good evening families. As you know, last night the Governor announced closing businesses for 30 days. We have been informed that at this time, it is still planned that we will return to school on April 6, 2020. For the week of March 30-April 3, we are working on school work for students to complete while they are at home. This work will count for their learning time so that we do not have to extend our school year in June. I will be in touch next week with the plan for students to get their work. Please check our website or our app for resources for meals if needed. I will keep you updated as we get further information and please stay safe.
Community meal options
The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows has been granted by the Nevada Department of Agriculture the ability to begin serving box lunch breakfast and lunch meals as of Tuesday, March 17, at our five main sites located in Reno:
· 2680 E. Ninth Street (Donald W. Reynolds)
· 1300 Foster Drive (William N. Pennington)
· 1090 Bresson Avenue (Carano Youth Center)
· 3905 Neil Road (Neil Road Youth Center)
· 325 Patrician Drive (Lemmon Valley Youth Center)
Delivery of meals will be through a drive-by service only, with BGCTM staff members delivering an appropriate amount of meals to each vehicle seeking assistance. Although those seeking service are not required to be a BGCTM member, in accordance with US Department of Agriculture policy, meals can only be provided to kids 18 years of age and younger (only solid food meals will be available).
There is no purchase price for the meals. Breakfast service at each site will begin at 8:30 a.m., with lunch service at 11:30 a.m. Service will be available Mondays through Fridays until further notice.
